Ability to disable immediate preview for changed slides.

Sometimes the program runs extremely slow when adding slide breaks for songs. This happens because it's trying to generate a preview to the right as well as sync. Can there be a way to disable instant sync until you're finished? I know it makes it tricky and opens mistakes for crashes and lost work but there has to be a better way than this delayed response in editing. Maybe a cached system in temp or something.
