Record whole service, mark start/stop for default trim points

The automatic start/stop recording feature is pretty great in theory. In practice, my slides people wind up duplicating a bunch of slides so they can manually control exactly when the recording starts and stops while having the option to not have any visual changes on the screen. But then, somehow, the recording starts to late or ends too early anyway.
If it just recorded the whole service but the start/stop markers defaulted the trim points, I could always adjust them to include more if needed later. Alternatively, if it just recorded the 5 minutes before (with a rolling buffer) and 5 minutes after, that would probably work too.
