Speed click to jump to the start or end of list of tabs in a window

Clicking the arrows at the left and right of the tab listing in a window results in very, very slow scrolling across the tabs. When there are many tabs this can take ages.
The suggestion is that when holding the Ctrl key and clicking on the left or right tab navigation arrows, the list of tabs jumps to the far left or the far right. That would speed things up a lot.
