Better edit performance for large notes

I use the notes feature both for taking short notes, as well as keeping running summaries of books that I'm reading. The larger summary notes can be a few thousand words long. I've noticed that for large notes, Logos starts to consume a lot of CPU and battery, and often my mac's fan kicks on. Can you guys consider doing some performance improvements for editing large notes?
For instance, apply a debounce to save/index operations in notes (debounce is a programming term for waiting until the user pauses for a certain length of time). Alternatively, a separate feature for writing longer documents with a different performance profile could work, but I imagine the debounce would be just as effective and pretty quick to implement.
