Not Paganism

Hello,
My name is Paul Sand. I am a pastor in New York, about an hour or so north of the city. I've used Logos regularly since my seminary days some years ago now. I value what you do in supporting pastoral ministry.
I also understand that not every user of Logos is a pastor, and even more so that not all pastors agree on a great variety of things. However, I was greatly troubled when I saw your offering of The Golden Bough, by Frazer, on my home page! For what reason would God's people want to read this thoroughly discredited monstrosity? It is speculation, not science. It treats the cross of Christ as yet one more iteration of the myth of the dying king...so much fertility and vegetation! It smears the reader's face in the sordid details of paganism in direct contradiction to Philippians 4:8--all interpreted through the lens of Victorian rationalism. Why would a Christian want to occupy such vast amounts of time to bury himself in this?
For the sake of Christ, don't offer paganism to the Church. People will swallow it--just look at its reception in the late 1800s. Please, remove this book from the home page offerings.
