It is a good Arabic translation of the whole Bible with which to reach out to Muslims. It is written using Muslim vocabulary, e.g. isa, not yasua, and so it is more accessible to Arabic Muslim seekers. It speaks to Muslims in an Arabic they are quite familiar with.

The Sharif Bible is an Arabic translation of the Bible for Muslim readers and for those who have come to faith in Christ from Islam. Translation professionals agree it is a very accurate, clear and understandable Arabic Bible on the market today.

It is a dynamic translation, and attempts to transfer the meaning of the original text into simple, modern, standard, literary Arabic. This is meant to be understandable across the Arab world, so regional words and expressions are avoided.

Incidentally, it also has a good (but maybe not widely known) reputation, being a set textbook for the Christianity subject in one or two Islamic universities.

The Sharif Bible is an excellent translation being one of the clearest and understandable versions in Arabic to read. Please make this available in the LOGOS library.
