Chapter marking in the table of contents

Especially for large books with large tables of contents, which may be nested in several levels, it would be very helpful to have the corresponding chapter highlighted when I click into the book.
If I put the cursor at a place or mark a passage, I would like the corresponding chapter entry in the table of contents to be highlighted in gray.
Would something like that be feasible? Or does this already exist?
