Option to Lock Slide Design

We have multiple people who work on Proclaim. One person sets up the initial design of all the slides and low thirds. Everyone else works with the content. But it's not unusual for someone who works with content to accidentally mess up the design. It happens. More often than one would think.
It would be really, really, really helpful if users could right-click on a service item and click "lock design" that would result in the design not being able to be changed unless you right-click again and select "unlock design". This would be especially helpful if, I'd assume, the design stayed locked when duplicating items. Now that we can "hide", we're creating a "Template" group for each service that holds all the design templates, and then copying them where we need them throughout the service and filling with content.
We really need a way to make sure that design errors don't creep in, and other than creating a whole permissions architecture, this would be a simple way protect service items from getting messed up by user error and allow us to bring in other less-skilled users who could easily do content but are prone to mess things otherwise.
