Returning to wrong resource

I have a layout with 4 books. for this example I'm on the NIV. When I switch to different app, then return to logos it's on a different resource in my layout - the last one. If I hit the icon at bottom center to switch resources, it defaults to the resource I should be on - niv If I click on it I am still on the wrong resource. I have to click on a different resource within my layout, then click back on NIV to return to it.
