Notes: Quick Note taking

Have a secondary quick note function, that essentially adds a blank note with whatever the last symbol and notebook that was used. This feature would add this blank note WITHOUT launching into the note editing window. When I read through the scripture I like to just mark versus that I find interesting and then circle back to them later. Having to wait for the note to launch when I'm not planning on editing it gets tedious and causes the app to freeze up a lot. I just want to be able to quickly add a symbol next to a verse without launching the full note editing function. I like to just be able to tap on the verse and then tap a quick note button and then the previous note settings would be applied to that verse.
