Search on Mobile should be updated to filter out resources you don’t own

When I do a basic search on mobile now, almost all of the results are from resources I don’t own.

While it is nice to see what other resources might contain, those results are useless as I can’t work with them.

There should be a way to select on a search within your own library.

  • Dan--Above the search results but underneath the query, is "All" selected? If so, tap that, switch from an "All" search to a "Books" search, and then select "All Books" (which really means "Your Books"). I think you'll also have a "Search Mode" option where you can select "Smart" or "Precise" (I'm assuming you have a license to Smart Search), and you probably want that set to "Smart" (unless you specifically want to use special search syntax).

I believe you'll get what you're looking for after making those changes.

With the addition of Smart Search, we (I work for Logos) adjusted the "All Search" to mean, search everything, including books I don't own, knowing that "Books Search" would retain the flexibility to search only your resources (or some subset of them). It's admittedly confusing that we've left the label as "All Books" instead of "Your Books" ... I expect that's a minor naming change that is coming soon.
