lighting background - stage lights

In the documentation there is something that says that we can provide a script to turn stage lights on and off but no standard of what is in use that designates access to particular light fixtures as being addressible with a standard system. Can that be addressed as supplement to Proclaim so that one person can operate media and lighting controls on the same computer database using media standards in place today?
