Reading Plans: Flow Improvement

I'd like a way to have a smoother reading experience. I can hit spacebar to go down a page, but I have to read clear to the bottom and then get a full page refresh. It would be great to be able to configure reading mode to more of a smooth scrolling behavior where it doesn't necessarily do the whole page and scrolls up in an animated way where your eyes can track it.
Additionally, it would be great if you could configure it to end scrolling at the end of the day's reading rather than continue past.
Also, from a reading mode perspective, I never want my place to suddenly jump somewhere else. The pane should honor the reading experience and any hyperlinks should not impact the current location in the reading.
It would also be great to have more of a streaming feed of reading plan content - if I have multiple reading plans that are relevant for the day, I can continously read / scroll through them (like some old RSS readers used to do) and have them marked as read. It would also be great to be able to do this for catching up when I'm behind on plans but may want to separate "current readings" vs "things I'm behind on" somehow.
