When using the confidence times cues with the "count down to duration" setting, I've found that accidentally or intentionally clicking on an item outside of the cues forces the clock to reset.
We don't always want the clock to start over so I think it would be helpful to include a prompt that appears when clicking outside of the cues that gives the option to either continue the countdown timer or reset it.
