I was so excited to see the "Great Preaching On" series from Sword of the Lord included in the 2025 Diamond Preacher Library. I hope this means we will see more classics from Sword of the Lord and John R. Rice.
@Pastor Don Carpenter I just entered into discussions with a representative of Sword of the Lord today to bring in the Rice commentaries to Logos. Afterwards, I searched through the requests and found your post from November. I apologize for missing it. Nevertheless, know that the ball is rolling!
Years ago I was a subscriber to the monthly publication of The Sword of the Lord. I still have many of the printed copies from the '80s. It would be great if Logos could make a deal with them to also digitalize the back issues and offer them here. There were some great sermons on them.📖🙏
That is great news! There are tons of resources from Sword of the Lord! Idk if there is a digital history of the many years of the periodical, but it started in 1932 and would make incredible research material! Because Rice was a disciple of R. A. Torrey, he had deep and passionate insight into scriptures and current affairs of the time.
