IMPORTANT BUG: New Editable Text Blocks and Preaching Mode

In my sermon I found a quote that I wanted to use. I edited the quote slightly to remove a sentence that was going to be distracting, replacing it with an ellipsis.

To my mild horror, everything after the ellipsis didn't show up when I was preaching! I had to summarize it by memory on the fly, losing much of the force of the quote.

THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS ISSUE! I need to be able to trust that everything in my sermon will appear when I preach!!!

This is what it looks like in the sermon editor:

This is what it looked like when I was preaching!!! (It looks the same on Desktop Preaching Mode).

Hi Robert. Thank you for reporting this, and I'm sorry you have run into this issue. I am taking a look at this now. Are you on Windows or Mac?

    Sermon was created on:

    Logos Bible Study 38.0
    38.0.572
    (Update channel: beta)

Preaching mode bug is present when that sermon is preached on Windows, as well as iPadOS.

Looks like this is an issue with ALL lengthy text block quotes from non-Bible resources.

    To replicate:

    • Copy a long paragraph from a resource into a sermon
    • Click "Preach" to view in preaching mode.
    • The long paragraph is truncated to the first 3 lines or so, although the automatically created slide contains the full quote.

Thank you, Robert. I've been able to recreate the issue and created a case for the team to address.
