Release Notes Done Right for Software Updates
I’ve been genuinely impressed with how Logos has transformed their release notes communications over the past year. What was once a basic changelog has evolved into a comprehensive and user-friendly resource that actually helps users understand and utilize new features.

I agree. It took me a couple releases to grasp the helpfulness of these articles, but now I look forward to them.

Hey, this is great! I always read the "what's new" from the 'in-app' link after the update, but it's just a bullet points technical note. Those articles, on the other hand, are really helpful.
Exactly the kind of thing Logos/Verbum needs more and should be front-paged and sent to everyone by e-mail. They know how difficult it is for a lot of people to use or discover the new features. Why not make those articles the star of the page, showing what the app can do at every update, and not hidden clicks away on some obscure menu? The main page on their websites desperately need some space for the app, and not just sales.
Anyway, that's really good! Thanks!

I agree. At least for me and my software preferences, I appreciate the new era with a new rhythm of continuous improvements. As a result, I pay a lot more attention to the release notes!
So, what are my favourite tweaks this go-round?
- Improvements to inline search - I really think the designers listened to users who love this function.
- Summarise in the Factbook - this is a really good use of AI. I am using this type of function in many other types of software in my workflows. I look forward to original language applications of AI too. 🙂
- Dashboard cards are now fully draggable - stuff like this might cause me to pay more attention to the dashboard.
- The new AI usage meter and consolidating other logos system messages into that '.button'
- While I rarely use interlinears, the new keyboard shortcut is excellent - I love keyboard shortcuts!
And while it is not glamorous, many bugs are being continually squashed. For instance, it no longer takes two clicks to get the dynamic toolbar to focus. Logos used to be the buggiest piece of software on my computer, and years ago, this type of bug might have taken months to resolve. 🕷️
Well done Team Logos! ❤️
