A bit of a cross-post from another thread.

I appreciate the new era with a new rhythm of continuous improvements. As a result, I pay a lot more attention to the release notes!

So, what are my favourite tweaks this go-round?

  • Improvements to inline search - I really think the designers listened to users who love this function.
  • Summarise in the Factbook - this is an excellent use of AI. I use this function in many other types of software in my workflows. I look forward to AI applications in the original languages, too. 🙂
  • Dashboard cards are now fully draggable - stuff like this might cause me to pay more attention to the dashboard.
  • The new AI usage meter and consolidating other logos system messages into that '.button'
  • While I rarely use interlinears, the new keyboard shortcut is excellent - I love keyboard shortcuts!

And while it is not glamorous, many bugs are being continually squashed. For instance, it no longer takes two clicks to get the dynamic toolbar to focus. Logos used to be the buggiest piece of software on my computer, and years ago, this type of bug might have taken months to resolve. 🕷️

Well done Team Logos! ❤️

I'm a fan of the Factbook. Now that it is incorporated, I will likely use the summarize function more than I would have otherwise. I was, and still am, on the fence about AI, which I often find gimmicky, but I am finding it useful to have at hand to speed up work on non-critical tasks.

(While mostly accurate, I do note, however, that on a test or two, the summarize function gives a cookie-cutter, non-committal "both sides have their view" conclusion on an article that very much comes down in favor of one side and not the other. AI tries to be too diplomatic at times.)

I love the interlinear toggle, but I wouldn't know about it unless I read the updates page. Are there other recent shortcuts that haven't been made known? Wouldn't it be nice on the shortcuts help center page if there was a section identifying "Recently Added Shortcuts".
