There was a forum post on what people don't like about the new dynamic toolbar. I thought why not start a post on what we like about the new dynamic toolbar.
I was just experimenting with the new one and I didn't know about 'Full Screen" under "View". It is a cool feature. For a few minutes, you can expand out to the full screen and come back to usual once you are done. Cool!
I can see that this feature existed before, but I discovered it because I just went through all the options in all the tabs. Earlier, it was buried under one of many options.
(The first post got posted without my knowledge - i don't know what i did and i know how to delete the blank first post. oh well…)

I have always had icon hidden in the old toolbar since some of my panes were too narrow and it did not wrap. I like the fact that I can see the reference and get to all the tabs and icons with the new toolbar. There are some tweaks that could make it more efficient, but I would never go back to the old toolbar.

I am a heavy mouse user. At first, I thought some extra clicks would be problematic but I've found that because it is more compact, it is actually faster. I also like not having to remember whether something is on the toolbar or on the panel menu and the separating of the many functions that were mashed together in visual filters.

I do like these two improvements

I like it. I would not go back. I suspect it will be more intuitive for new users than some of the stuff buried in the old style. 👨💻

@MJ. Smith I was just working on how to formulate these thoughts, then I saw that you already did the heavy lifting for me. I agree with you on every point. The new toolbar is great as is and also has the potential to be much better. Some features I find are quicker to access even without any improvements. Other features… well, I'm still holding out hope. But I also would never cast my vote to go back to the old toolbar. This is an improvement that was thoughtfully designed. For example, they knew their users well enough to integrate a collapsible menu from the very beginning. Granted, even this aspect could be improved upon, but they're off to a great start!

I'll join the fun….
My issues with it have been hammered - but I'll list some positives…
I do believe they did an excellent job with the "look and feel" of the Dynamic Toolbar.
For what it does, it is also quite smooth in its operation.
I think the requests for auto collapse would be good, but I will note that it may be unfair to hold having to close the secondary bar against it - we always had that with the Classic Toolbar.
