Smallest text in current version is too large

With the change in the latest beta, I'm unable to make the text small enough. It's quite massive compared to prior options.

With all of the UI additions, I'm finding I need smaller text options to compensate for the extra real estate consumed by the panels. I am often using the second-smallest size on the old settings.

The current minimum size is just too large

Thanks,

J

Hi James, thank you for your feedback. We had to drop support for some very small font-sizes in order to add more options to make the text larger, which is important for users with accessibility limitations.

You might have already tried this, but would it help to reduce the line spacing?

@James Fowlie — could you also upload a screenshot when you're using the smallest size available?

Hi! Sorry... things got busy over Christmas and I didn't see your responses.

The line spacing didn't help much.

I'll send a screenshot as soon as I'm back on the affected device.

One of the case-issues is highlighting longer passages: with the prior setting, I could mark up documents properly. Rarely did I run into an issue with larger passages. With the new limitations on small text sizes, I'm running into markup issues very regularly.

The problem could be resolved by better scrolling when selecting for highlighting or for noting up texts, which I've found a real issue on mobile. This is probably the real underlying issue for which smaller text is a workaround.

I'll send a screenshot as soon as I can.

    Thanks,

    J

Here are two screenshots. One is current Verbum beta, the other is Logos non-beta, which I've been running because of the text size issue. You can see it's a significant difference, and I don't have Logos on the smallest font or tighter line spacing. For the Verbum beta, it's the smallest font and tightest line spacing.

This would be less of an issue for casual reading, but for doing anything more demanding, the screen real estate is much too compact for such large font sizes.

    Thanks,
