King as recognised by the Regent dataset
Specifically in 2 Kings 15, ESV, but applicable elsewhere.
Uzziah is often identified as Azariah i.e. Azariah = person:"Uzziah (king)" = regent:(agent:person:"Uzziah (king)" AND role:King)
In 2 King 15:30 Uzziah is tagged as regent:role:King when describing the relationship to Jotham, who is not tagged as King. Neither of them is tagged King in v.32 where Jotham, son of Uzziah, began to reign. In general Jotham is not recognised as King where he should be. Which brings up the reasoning that a person is not tagged King unless they have that role/office in the text e.g. the reference in v.36 to "the rest of the acts of Jothan…" clearly shows that the role is King. v.2 shows that Jotham the King's son was "governing", not as King, but he is tagged as King. Consistency is needed, and if that is difficult just recognise that the person is a King, irrespective of context.
Is there not a case for recognising that a person is King only if role:King is present?
