updating my Reading Plan

I change the Bible that I am reading each year. I've started a new reading plan for 2025 in a different translation. The card on dashboard is correct. However, when I click on the reading for today, it defaults to the translation I read last year. Only by manually changing the translation to the one I've designated for this year's reading can I see the section defined for today's reading. I've tried updating the layout with the correct translation. I deleted and reformatted the links with only the correct translation for this year. I can get it to work as long as I don't close Logos. But when I open the program in the morning, it again defaults back to last year's translation. How do I get this to work properly?

It sounds to me like your "Bible Reading Plan" layout has been customized to use The Message. You can find that layout under "QuickStart Layouts" in the layout menu in the application toolbar. You can either right click on that layout and use the "Restore default layout" option, or you can set up the layout the way you want for this year's plan and then right click on that layout and use the "Replace with current layout" option.

Could you provide a screen shot showing the reading plan itself and what is opened directly from the reading plan? I think I know what is wrong but can't be certain based on the description.

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

Here are the screen shots you requested. I've tried several different translations in the new reading plan. It always defaults to The Message. When I first open the program and then the reading plan, the translation specified in the reading plan does not appear at all. If I then return to the Dashboard and click the reading plan again, the specified translation appears on a tab next to the Message. However, the links to the other documents on the right hand side are only to The Message. I have tried deleting all the reading plans and starting from scratch. I deleted all the saved layouts and created a new one with just the translation I want to read this year. I even uninstalled Logos this morning and reinstalled it. I would have thought that that would have cleaned last years reading plan out of the system. But it is doing the same thing.

You have me stumped. It is as if the New Century Version is not downloaded so it defaults to your primary Bible or as if the plan was not regenerated. I'll think about it a bit more. The answer is in there somewhere, I'm just not seeing it before coffee.

Thanks. I deleted everything I could think of that was related to the reading plans, uninstalled logos, and reinstalled the program. I set up a new reading plan. Closed the program, opened it. When I accessed the reading plan, it defaulted to The Message along with the Bibles and commentaries that I had linked to The Message last year. Somewhere there is a corrupt data file on my computer that is not deleted when the program is uninstalled which is causing the program to revert to something saved on my computer. If you have any idea what that data file might be named and where it is located, I should be able to delete it and start from scratch.

Thank you! That was an easy fix when one knows what to do.
