- When I restarted Logos, it stayed on the splash screen for a very long time, looking as if it's frozen.
- When it finally came up, it told me several times that another instance of Logos was running.
- When all those messages stopped, it's back to "normal", but the "Installing application update…" message is still there and wouldn't go away.
See if this page helps, especially solution 3: https://support.logos.com/hc/en-us/articles/360008044592-What-to-do-if-Logos-Crashes-Windows
I'm on Windows 10. In the process of updating from 38.x to 39 beta 2, Logos also had a "Installing application update…" message that wouldn't go away.
Thank you Graham! I followed the steps referenced there and that seems to have fixed the problem (the "Installing application update…" message stops showing). However, it now says "Logos was updated to 39.0" instead of "39.0 beta 3". Should I be concerned about that? (The About box is showing 39.0.400 and I'm still on the beta channel.)
Many thanks,
Peter
