HELP: I have Bible highlights that won’t delete. Has anybody else had this problem and solved it?
I have some highlights in my Bible that appear on my desktop app (MacOS) but not my mobile app that refuse to erase no matter what I do. I’ve tried everything I know. Anybody else have this problem and know how to help? I feel like I got a little too highlighter happy at first and now in some places it’s distracting but I can’t get rid of it.

Normally you can right click on the highlighted portion and delete all notes/highlights. Alternatively you can go into the notes tool and try that way. Is it possible it is not highlighted in that resource but a corresponding highlight from another?

If certain highlights cannot be deleted using the normal steps used to delete other highlights, it is likely that they are instead some sort of visual filter or emphasis. Alternatively, inadvertently having an open search can result in certain words being highlighted for the duration of the session.

You can go to the highlighting panel in Tools and use the Erase option.

Yes, I have this problem. I think some highlights were not created by me and therefore cannot be erased. I have noticed it for years

Perhaps they cannot be erased by you, but you should still have control over whether they show or not. You could start by turning off visual emphasis and visual filters to see if you can isolate the source of the undesired highlights.

Did you use the permanent highlight option? If so, I’m afraid there’s nothing that can be done 😂 Nah, I’m just kidding. I’m sure it’ll get fixed. I don’t highlight as much, but I do notice some words in between verses don’t get highlighted for some reason. So that’s another bug that needs fixing.

Click on this drop-down from the Notes tab, and you can turn off most notes and highlighting even if you can't delete them.
