Type: lectionary for Means of Grace: A Year of Weekly Devotions (whale is a zebra)
This book Rutledge, Fleming. Means of Grace: A Year of Weekly Devotions. Edited by Laura Bardolph Hubers. Grand Rapids, MI: William B. Eerdmans Publishing Company, 2021 is no more a lectionary than a whale is a zebra. However, this classification is a very clever way to get devotionals keyed to liturgical dates to work as a dated devotional within the confines of the current system. I'm impressed by whoever invented this hybrid. However, if the "monstrosity" is to exist, I want the other devotionals based on liturgical dates to be switched over to this keying and type - otherwise it looks like someone didn't know what a lectionary is. I'd be glad to give you an initial list of devotions to convert - these don't even include those that are for specific seasons.
