Job 2:3

In Job 2:3 where God is responding to Satan saying "He still retains his integrity, "even though you incited him against Me". Is it saying that God acted against Job? I am not sure I understand what is going on here. Any incite would be greatly appreciated.

(Also, your quote ("you incited him against Me") may have a problem (i.e., who did Satan incite, God or Job?)

Yasmin's suggestion to look up the verse in a study Bible or commentary is a good one. I also typed the question into Smart All search to see what Logos AI had to say. It's certainly an interesting passage.

To Yasmin's point about theological discussion/debate, it's best to see the forums as a research aid rather than an answer book. For example, rather than asking, "What does this mean?", one can ask, "What resources or tools can you recommend that would help me understand this better?"
