Allow users to disable pop-up resource previews - New option in program settings

Too often the pop-up resource previews are intrusive for some users who wish to be able to navigate the application using the mouse pointer without frequent visual interruptions. Occasionally, the pop-ups even block important information on smaller screens and some thought must be dedicated to determine how to remove the pop-up and restore visual contact with the important data. Some users benefit from the pop-ups, but users who do not benefit should be given the option to disable them.

I have always found these annoying. I don't understand why they couldn't make it pop up after you've held your mouse over it for say 5 seconds? but when you're just moving your mouse, it's incredibly annoying to have all those popups!

Regarding the speed with which the pop-ups appear, I have a hunch that Logos engineers set the timing back in the day when our slower hardware and disk access times inherently produced a reasonable delay. That's no longer the case with our current specs including SSD's. The popups are nearly lightning-instantaneous.

The problem is worse when trying to navigate drop-down menus, eq, the parallel resource lists. These menus have proliferated in Logos, and the pop-ups tend to completely osbscure list options. A work-around is to position the pointer in the gutter of the menu, but that requires very precise pointer placement.

or, put it right on the view toolbar with options on which pop ups to enable or disable.

I never see the resource popups unless I specifically hover over them to do so. I work mainly with the mouse and the command line so I don't know what I do differently to make this a non-issue. But I am living proof that for some users this is not an issue. The suggestion is a solid suggestion for those who have this problem.

Like MJ mentioned, I rarely see them - as I don't hover over the Resource Titles often. I do think it could be a valuable option for some users. Voted

I use Logos Notes a lot and they are great but what I'd like to do is to be able to make notes on a book, perhaps a comment field on the book info page. For example: review notes, impressions, strengths/weaknesses, differences between editions etc. I already use Tags but they don't provide this sort of freeform text.
