Factbook and Word Info in the Complete Jewish Bible
Hi Logos Community, I have a German Pro subscription and I mainly read German Bibles. This year I started to read the CJB, Complete Jewish Bible and I recognize something strange.
In a German Bible I can click on a word and I get more information from the Word Info and the Factbook. Within the CJB I don’t see any of these information
so I wondering if this is because I read an English Bible with a German subscription and maybe I don’t have the resources to display the desired information or maybe this is something with the CJB itself.
What are your thoughts?
Thank you and God bless you, Daniel
First image is the CJB and second a German Bible with the information in the Word Info. why is this missing in the CJB?

If you try a word in the New Testament you should see the behaviour you are looking for.
The Word Info data is based on reverse-interlinears and it looks as though this is only available for the CJB for the NT.
Which seems strange because both are available and included in all subsciption tiers.
Something doesn't seem quite right!

I checked a number of OT books in the CJB, and this message appears when I turn on the interlinears in View - the settings are available to turn on in View, there just isn't an interlinear - reverse or normal!

@Graham Criddle Where are you seeing this? I tried to verify this on the de.logos subscription page but was unable:

Thank you; that's helpful. It is indeed strange that the OT Reverse interlinear is included in the list but not available for use in Logos. Note, however, that the OP has a German Logos subscription (this doesn't detract from the aforementioned oddity, however).

As others have said, you must have access to a reverse interlinear for the specific Bible you are using in order for this detailed functionality to work. I've included screenshots highlighting the reverse interlinears that I could find that you have access to with your subscription. Additional reverse interlinear Bibles can be purchased from the Logos store.

Hi all, thank you for all the detailed answers. I have also understood Logos a bit more with the word info and the reverse interlinear translation.
Summary for me, OT interlinear for CJB not yet released, but the NT should be available, shouldn’t it? I could not find it in the store. I have to say that I look in the German store. I just give the English store a try. Is there a difference in terms of licensing?
Thank you, Daniel

It doesn’t appear to be listed in the store - but it does show as being available in all subscription tiers

Thank you @Graham Criddle. Then I wait for release. All the best, Daniel

Unless I am misunderstanding something, this is incorrect. As I mentioned above, @Daniel Rieger said he has the German Pro subscription. I highlighted above the interlinears in my previous comment that are included in that subscription (unless I missed some). The CJB is not among them.

Apologies @Aaron Hamilton - I missed your comment and screenshot and was just looking at those subscriptions in the English store.

@Daniel Rieger there is a German forum here that would be better suited to help you regarding questions concerning your subscription in the future. The German subscription is not identical to the English subscription; this is the source of the confusion, and you will likely encounter this confusion again in the English forums when you are asking a question about the German subscription.

For you, no. You can verify this by checking word info for NT words in the CJB. Based on what I saw in your subscription (see my screenshots above), this is not made available to you unless you have purchased it in addition to the subscription (I'm not sure how you would do that now, as it's not listed in the store. If this is your wish, I would reach out to customer service for answers and direction).
Is there a difference in terms of licensing?
Yes there is. However, anything you purchase from Logos.com should be made available to you for use in Logos. Where licensing restrictions prevent you from having access to resources (due to living outside the U.S.), logos.com will not allow you to purchase them.

correct. This is the reason I was looking to purchase it. But this doesn’t seem to be possible.

thanks, Aaron. Then I will reach out to the Customer Service.

👍️ Alternatively, you can post your concerns in the German Forum. There are Logos team members there who are very active and very helpful. You won't encounter the same confusion there that you would here. However, the English forums can be used when you have questions about how the software works.

Understood. Sorry for the confusion. The main point for asking here was to gain understanding for the interlinear translation and the word info. I will ask German content in the German forum in future.
All the best and Gods blessings, Daniel
