Testing Insights Panel in latest IOS beta update

- Insights panel is now dismissed after deselecting in a non-versified book.
I thought that the insights panel was only available in versified books. For example when I open a monograph in the IOS app the insight panel does not open and there is no tool on screen to open it as there are in versified resources such as a bible.
Am I missing something about how to test this change?

In non-versified books, you won't see the Insights panel button at the bottom of the reader, but it will open whenever you select any text.

Ok thanks David,
I opened the Mobile app on my iPad inside of TestFlight and opened a number of non-versified resources then highlighted text but the insights panel did not appear only the standards panel with highlighting, notes, etc as below. I pinned it, which puts it in a column on the side but still no Insights Panel. I expect this is the correct behaviour as Insights won’t find any targets in a non-versified resource.
When I open a versified resource such as a bible the Insights button invariably appears near the bottom of the page.👁️ 👁️

What you're seeing in that screenshot is the Insights panel, although it's true that there is considerably less content for non-versified resources.

LOL. Seems to be working as the test instructions describe then.
What was it called before the insights panel in the Desktop all was implemented?

@David Vela (Logos) is the insights not supposed to be available with the icon when doing a Bible reading plan. It is still only available only when selecting text.

That's right @Lukas, the insights button isn't supposed to be displayed in the reading plan view.

@David Vela (Logos) I was under the impression that it wil be added due to this comment.

Thank you for bringing that up @Lukas.
The case Joe mentioned relates to the tablet-specific feature of pinning the Insights panel to the right side of the screen, which isn’t currently available in the Reading Plan view.
Regarding the issue you originally raised—where the Insights button isn’t displayed for Reading Plans on iOS—I tested on Android after reading the thread you linked. I confirmed that the issue exists as reported, with different behavior across platforms. I’ll bring this up with the team to see if we can achieve parity between both platforms. Thanks!

@David Vela (Logos) Thank you, are there any way or plans to move the insight icon. It eould be great if the search and read aloud could be moved closer to make space, then the insights icon could be moved there and be toggled on and off just like web app.

We don't have any plans to move the insights icon on mobile at the moment, but thank you for mentioning it and posting it on our feedback section.
