Not sure if this bug has been reported..

I can no longer drag and drop a window within the layout onto the shortcut toolbar.

Additionally, I cannot drag saved collections onto +/- these resources.

See the attached video.

Hi, John, I'm sorry for the trouble. I'm afraid I can't reproduce, and I can't download your attachment for some reason. Can you try again, or provide more detail?

Are you on Mac or Windows? What version of the application are you running?

I can no longer drag and drop a window within the layout onto the shortcut toolbar.

I take this to mean, for example, dragging a book panel by clicking and dragging the title tab. Are you are saying you can no longer drag the panel at all, or that the shortcuts bar is not recognized as a drop target?

Additionally, I cannot drag saved collections onto +/- these resources.

I'm not familiar with how one would do this. Would you drag it out of the "Open" menu?

    @John Fallahee

I suspect your Shortcuts bar is full and it can only be added to the Shortcut folder (or truncate the folder name to provide space).

The Collections saga is perplexing as you appear to be dragging to the right place

This screenshot seems to indicate that your mouse thinks it's in a different position, half a screen to the right. Are you using a second monitor? Or OS scaling? Or anything else unusual about your setup, especially if it's changed recently?

And I almost hate to ask, but I've learned to try the simple things first: Have you tried rebooting?

    Hi Adam,

I've done the reboot, so no worries. However, I can't drag windows to the left or the right within the workspace as well.

It's bizarre behavior. I could drag shortcuts before, as I have only 16 shortcuts.

I do have three monitors, but that was never a problem before.

Your suggestion on the multiple monitors gave me an idea, and I discovered the issue.

When Logos starts up, whichever monitor is your primary monitor, dragging and dropping is fully functional on that primary monitor only; all other monitors do not function properly if Logos is placed on those other monitors.

It appears that Logos may see the other monitors as one big monitor. I am not sure, but my hunch is that something has changed, and it's connected to multiple displays.

I at least have a workaround. Change the primary monitor and restart Logos in the primary monitor.

    I hope this helps.

Let me know if you uncover the bug.

    Blessings and thanks!

    John

I have a similar problem. My system is Logos Pro 40.0 Beta 3 on Windows 11 with second monitor. Dragging and dropping of the tab from main monitor to the second one is not working, showing "not possible" sign. I have another notebook with Logos not being Beta and it works OK.

The problem exists only when the floating window is on the second monitor. When I move floating window to the main monitor and try to drag and drop tabs, it works fine.

Thanks @John Fallahee and @Bohuslav Wojnar. I'm tagging @Stephen Ekeroth , who reported the same issue on another thread.

We are looking into this, but we have not yet been able to reproduce it. We are wondering if it might be related to specific hardware or configurations. Can you help us narrow down what might be the common denominator between the three of you?

I'm not sure what we are looking for, so the more detail, the better.

    • Computer brand and model
    • OS version
    • Graphics card
    • Native resolution of secondary display(s)
    • OS scaling
    • Type of hub or docking station
    • The pointing device you use (mouse, touchpad, etc) including the brand
    • Anything else you can think of that may be relevant

    Thank you!
