If I search for a word, I appreciate that Logos highlights the instances of the words I searched for.

With that as a preface, I would like to view only two verses presented the same as if I searched for a chapter. However, if I search for only a verse or two, Logos is treating it as if I searched for words and highlighting EVERY word in both verses.

Is there a way to simply see one verse at a time without the system treating it as if I searched for words?

Thank you for your response. If I search for a word, the program finds instances and highlights the word I looked for, which I appreciate. However, if I try to search for only a verse or two at a time, the program highlights EVERYTHING as if I had searched for words.

My goal is for the program to just show clean copies of select verses and for it to not act as if I had searched for the words.

I will attach a screenshot of searching for a word (which I think is handled correctly), and then trying to search for only a few verses which turns everything yellow.

Thanks for the clarification and the screenshots.

As I think you are aware, there are two "selection boxes" at the top of a Bible.

The first one (top left) is where we can specify a passage - causing the Bible to move to that passage - it is not a search box.

The second one (available in the search tab) does search for the search string placed in it and highlights the results - and we can't turn off those highlights.

I can see two potential ways of achieving what you are looking for - and I agree it would be really helpful if we could do this.

One is for Logos to change how the program works so we have the option of turning off search highlights. I have seen that requested elsewhere - it will be interesting to see if the Logos team look at doing that.

The second option - is available now but a bit unwieldy - is to have a Passage List containing the verses you want to filter by and then filtering your Bible by that Passage List

Thank you for clarifying and the screenshots. I think I have three questions:

First, could you clarify how to get to the "passage list" on version 10? I don't have "formatting" on my toolbar.

Second, I actually stumbled onto the passage list once, and it showed Ex 20:2, even though Ex 20:1-2 is what I had intended. Is there a way to edit a list? My only option seems to be to delete it.

Third, my ultimate goal is for it to look like my screenshot above without the yellow, where this Czech version and the ESV are side by side. If I am understanding correctly, I can't add anything to the passage list. If I want more than one version, I need to click the compare option. Is that correct?

I think that once I figure out the passage list that will help a lot, but it is really a need to be able to show just one or two verses at a time without it being destroyed with yellow, as the passage guide also destroys the formatting.

Click on the LEB in the Passage list to add more versions.

You are correct there is no edit - add and delete. Because you can drag-and-drop the reference to the desired location, this is only a small pain.

I don't see "LEB" anywhere. Could you post a screenshot of what you mean? Also, how do I add something to the passage guide from a Bible? If I select text and right click, it doesn't seem to be an option.
