Hello everyone,

What an incredible launch we’ve had! 🎉 We’re thrilled to welcome you to our new forum platform—your new online home for connecting with the Logos community. The positive response and engagement so far have been amazing, and we’re deeply grateful for each of you who has joined us on this journey.

If you haven't yet, you will want to read this as well as the connected post covering our Community Overview as soon as you can.

That said, as with any big move, there are still a few things we’re working on post-migration to make your experience as smooth and enjoyable as possible. Whether it’s minor tweaks or larger adjustments, rest assured we’re actively working behind the scenes to refine and improve.

We kindly ask for your patience and understanding as we continue to settle in and enhance this platform for you. Your feedback has been, and will continue to be, invaluable in shaping our community space and we have big plans yet—We are only getting started.

Thank you for being part of this exciting new chapter. Together, we’re building something truly special here!

Best,

This is starting to disappear down the greasy pole, as new threads are started above it.

I would think L would want it pinned on top.

That can happen. Our forums are very active (which is a great thing, indeed). We added an Announcements section on the homepage, and have pinned these announcement posts to each category feed. The homepage merely shows the newest content.

I will use the announcement. Thanks, Jason.

Here is a page in the wiki that has lost some of its images

I'm 99% sure those were lost before the wiki migration. (There was a hard drive failure in or around 2021, and we were only able to recover a portion of the wiki images, which were then migrated to Amber. The images were all exported from Amber for the migration to this site.)

I've been with this program since Libronix, and my patience is getting very thin, very thin.

  • Member Posts: 2,040 ✭✭✭✭

It this due to the new forums? Or, is it more related to the "New Era" of Logos and the direction it appears to be headed? (Or Both?)

@Rick Ratzlaff, I'd like to hear more and see if I can be of assistance. If you'd like, please email community@logos.com and let's discuss. Grace and peace.

I've not experienced this issue on my Pixel device - though I do recall having similar issues with typing in years past on other sites…. I think the issues stemmed from the keyboard being used a couple of the times and installing the generic/Android keyboard alleviated the issue (But it was a while back… One time changing my default launcher may have helped)

It's working now. For what it's worth, I had the (Chrome) browser on my phone set to show the forums as "Desktop Site" while it was glitching. Therefore it's possible that this setting is linked to the glitchy behavior, though I haven't tested enough yet to confirm. Now that I am viewing the regular mobile format on my mobile device it is not glitching.

The previous comment was with "Desktop Site" enabled. For this post I have removed that setting and am viewing in the regular mobile format. I think I might be onto something...

  • Member, MVP Posts: 1,610

Typing strictly from left to right works for the most part with "Desktop Site" enabled, but as soon as I move back to change a word or tweak my comment it sets off the glitch.

Same issue I was having on my Android tablet! I've switched to Mobile on the tablet and it is behaving—finally! Thank you for the suggestion!

I believe what we've learned is that is the results of requesting a desktop site on Android using a mobile browser.

once again - "desktop site" view definitively turned on, doing edits to the text. SoSometimes but not often the editor brings double syllables like the SoSo earlier I kept on purpose.

I came on to the forums today, and just now noticed the change. I don't use Logos on my phone, only computers. I've got to give a thumbs up as to the change. Excellent!

When hovering the mouse over "Training", we get a slide in with all the options.

Can we get such slide in too for the other navigation items? There are multiple elements under Forums and Feedback, and it would be helpful to reach those with a single click, instead of clicking, scrolling, searching, and clicking again.

For "Shop" I'd suggest a similar slide in with multiple options: Logos, Verbum, eBooks, general eBooks, Audio etc.

Expanding the main menu navigation bar and creating a landing page for training are items on our wishlist. We will just continue to improve our space, week after week! Thank you for the feedback.

@Jason Stone (Logos) - thank you for leading us through this big change management project. I can already see some of the polish here and there, and yes… there will be a bit of construction dust as well! 🛠️

Nothing should EVER hit the market as a BETA version. The notes above prove a very Beta version. You can't run a business like this, but it has been habitual for a long time.
