Two Years More Expensive?

I was an early max subscriber and paid $129 for the year, and like most of you could not add the 2 years at start. I can afford the second year now so went to add it on expecting it to be cheaper but it is more expensive? This seems wrong to me is it not recognizing my early subscriber status or something?

The two-year subscription option works by extending your subscription by two years from the date that you make the change, not by extending the renewal date of your initial subscription to equal two years in total. The two-year subscription price will be reduced by the balance you have remaining on your initial subscription. The screenshot you shared shows that you will receive 24 months of a Max subscription for $155.63, which includes all discounts and is prorated to account for the unused portion of your initial subscription.
