The Mobile Pop-up is ruinous

Stop. Stop adding things to the mobile pop-up. You are ruining the mobile app.

First off, the thing pops up if I just tap on the screen. At least add a timer so that it pops up only after a reasonable (read "more") time of touching the screen.

Secondly, I used to love touching a word and getting the original language information. But now you've added so many choices to the pop-up that I have to work through menu choices to get that EVERY time I want to use the popup. In particular, you have a bug that needs fixing: If I open the popup and go to the original language information, then close the popup and open it on another word, I have to hit the popup's back arrow to go back to the main menu then select word information again. Such a waste of time, but far worse is that all this navigation distracts me from my study focus. I'd like to have the choice of having the popup stay on a setting, like word information.

Thirdly. As I'm attempting to scroll through text, the app most often thinks I'm trying to highlight. You really need to change the delays such that I need to hold onto one word much longer before the app thinks I'm highlighting rather than scrolling. The app used to work well, but now it's become a pain to use.

Have a great day,

    What thing?

We're doing a lot of work to improve this experience. You should see things get significantly better over the next two versions.

As I'm attempting to scroll through text, the app most often thinks I'm trying to highlight.

If you prefer, you can turn off "Swipe to highlight" in "View Settings" (top right of any resource).

I'm talking about the pop-up window that allows various features such as highlighting, copying, word info, etc.

I used to have the same "I'm enjoying scrolling…oh, no, now I've just chosen something random and its metastasizing into some note-generating beast that is devouring links and will I ever get my program back" experience. Definitely turn off swipe-to-highlight.

Re: your other issues…FL is constantly "upgrading" the software, which inevitably means that things you use on a daily basis will eventually become inaccessible, broken, or just plain deprecated. Approximately 80% of features I once used on a daily basis now no longer work as they once did, and after years of begging and pleading, maaaaybe 5% has been restored, but I'm probably being overly generous. FL is definitely addicted to MOOAAAARRRRRRRRR!!!! If, in implementing the new, shiny, whiz-bang whatzits, it results in users being disenfranchised from the well-established system they've carefully developed…well, you can always just go hang.

Sometimes I wish they would make an additional, simplified app. No bells or whistles. Just for reading, maybe allow some simple highlighting. Make it compatible with more devices. Logos Lite.

In Nov 2023 I bought a fire tablet. I only used it for Logos. Loved it. A couple months ago Logos upgraded the app and it won't work on it anymore. Logos will only support Kindle OS 8, and this had 7.x. So I'm stuck using it on the web app, which is less than ideal (the whole point of having it on the tablet was so that I can take it with me even if I don't have internet).

I know nothing about fire tablets, but perhaps you could resell it on Amazon and then upgrade…assuming you can somehow port your stuff to the new one.
