I love that the Lyric Scrolling was updated to not show on Title Slides! I had also suggested at one time that this feature also be applied to not preview scrolling lyrics on Blank Slides.

Perhaps some churches are fine with blank slides showing upcoming lyrics during an instrumental section, but we like to display a scripture verse during instrumental sections of 8 measures or more, and the scrolling song lyric preview interferes with text box overlays. The only fix is to input 2 blank slides; one with the text box showing the scripture, and then a second blank slide; I label the second blank as "SKIP" for our operators so that they bypass it.

Some programming options I can think of are:

  1. Program Blank Slides to not display scrolling lyrics (Like Title Slides)
  2. Automatically Deactivate the scrolling Lyric feature on a slide if a Text Box is added.
  3. Add an exception check box to not display scrolling lyrics on any particular slide (not sure where the check box could be put since most formatting is for all slides).
  4. Create a format called something like {{Blank NSL}} that creates a Blank with No Scrolling Lyrics, or…
  5. Create a format called {{Scripture}} that automatically inserts a Text Box overlay on a new blank slide with Scrolling Lyrics deactivated. This would be my favorite!

I'm sure your programmers have other ideas as well.

    Imagine just having to enter "V1, Ch, V2, Ch, Scripture, Ch, Ch, Tag" and then add the scripture text into the text box! This would be sweet.
