Table Of Contents Bookmark
This is no good:
What's wrong with global bookmarks? You are limited to only nine.
And you have to remember them off by heart, or else open it up first and then choose your bookmark.
With hundreds and thousands of books, over the course of years, sometimes you're reading something for very long periods of time, each bookmark hogs a slot that is quickly used up and now your bookmarks are fighting for the real estate, because this method is bad.
Each book should maintain its own bookmarks. This should be with the Table Of Contents pane somewhere. Yes, this is where we can access Quicklinks but it shouldn't be global.
Just as we have a little bookmark icon on a forum, we should have that on the toolbar. Each book could keep a list of bookmarks, on its own independent pane, on the left, toggle between Table Of Contents, History, and Bookmarks. Then there could be a master bookmarks section. Same as quicklinks, but like a passage list of bookmarks; could have folders, sorting columns etc. You could still link a bookmark a hotkey. Freeing up quicklinks for whatever else we want.
There should be two types: Static and Dynamic. Static is added and deleted/replaced etc.
The dynamic one is always updated by where you currently are. It follows you around. When you are done you click on it to set it to this new position; or it updates when you close the book.
The bookmarks could have a choice of fun icons and colours.
