Frustrated : discontinuing the use of Logos for Mac for a time.

Boy, I must admit I am very frustrated with Logos 4 Mac. I have used Logos for many many years and have promoted the product like a loyal super-fan.
After continual problems trying to run it on 3 different newer fast MAC machines I am now having to return to using Logos through Windows / Fusion for my study because Mac Logos is so undependable, bug-filled and at times excruciating slow. I have put up several posts here on the forum trying to get the product to work effectively. The latest set of issues I am facing today are: now it closes up mid- use, it randomly refuses to show inline text in interlinears, and even refuses to open at times.
I recently bought a copy of Mac Logos for my apprentise and his whole experience with Logos is that it is an undependable, product that shows great promise but doesnt deliver yet - I feel like I have to apologize for the product after talking it up so much.
This product truly feels unfinished and unusable and is undependable for serious sermon prep at this point . I hope there is serious attention being paid to fixing the problems that are reported all over these forums - I truly love Logos and desire to run it natively on my Mac . I hope that in some way Logos will make it up to loyal users.
Respectfully submitted as constructive input. - Looking forward to using the Mac version in the future.

Sorry to hear that you are having such problems with Logos 4 Mac. I must confess that your experience puzzles me. As a parish minister in the Church of Scotland I have been using the program for all my sermon preparation for months now and have had very few problems - and I have never used Fusion or Parallels or the like. Any problems/issues that I have experienced have been fixed as the program moved through the Alpha stage and Beta stages and now, even though I'm still using Beta, the program is stable and usable.
One thing I did learn early on, Chuckk, was always to include logs and screenshots (where appropriate) to document/illustrate my problems/issues. I know that these help the developers get to the bottom of the problem/issue and provide a fix. They are a dedicated bunch and have never failed me yet!
So, I would suggest that you submit your logs here on the forums and I sure that some of the developers will get back to you. If your unsure on how to do this there is a useful video explaining how here at this link: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/6731.aspx
Just hang in there, brother! The developers will get this sorted, if you submit your logs.
Every blessing
Alan

I'm no expert. But your situation (problems on multiple computers) sounds like there may be something syncing from the PC Side that is buggy on the Mac side. I know that I had a problem with shortcut links that I had created in the PC version in Parallels not being compatible with the Mac version and creating all kinds of havoc. I had to delete the shortcuts and never had another problem. I haven't been following all of your posts, but if you haven't posted logs, I would encourage this so the Dev's can see what is crashing the installation. I have a 2010 13" MBP and have had very little problem. Sure I have crashes once in a while, but I am running the current Beta. And if parallels is a better solution for you right now, I understand. I have had to do that myself at times. I just hate having to do that, since the contrast makes Parallels so much harder for me to read.

Definitely try to get some help as suggested by others. I used Logos 4 on a pc before switching to a mac, and I have to say that the program works much better on my MacBook Pro than it did on my HP laptop.

ive been using L4Mac since the early alphas on an older MacBook Pro (2006?) and i do have a wait a few extra, seemingly very long, seconds, but ive had no major issues even through the "unstable" phases of development. not trying to rub it in or anything, just wondering what could cause your experience to be so unfruitful and frustrating??? maybe dewayne is on to something with a sync issue?
