Using an iPad, making a highlight is so easy. However, how do I erase a highlight that was unintentional?
Highlight the “Highlight” and a window with options will pop up. Choose the “delete/trash can” icon and that should delete the Highlight.

Long press some (or all) the text in the highlight. In the popup find Notes and Highlights. Press the three dots by Notes and Highlights and select Delete. It may take a couple of seconds, but the entire highlight will disappear.
This was very helpful! Thanks. In my efforts to delete the highlight, I inadvertently deleted a note I created. I assume there is no “undo” feature for such a mistake.
There is a Trash bin in the Notes tool; your note should be in there, and you can Undelete it.

Using the Lexham Greek-English Interlinear, I used the Table of Contents button to look up the morphology codes and found that ALL material prior to the Greek texts themselves are blank.
