Removing the gaps where pericope headers are removed

I want to have the chapters/verses & references but don't want the pericope headings and such - as they break were breaks not might belong and disrupt the flow - is there a way to get rid of the huge gaps left when you use visual filters to remove that non-biblical text?
I am using the NKJV.
Thanks brethren!

When Bibles are reformatted to remove Non-Bible text, the text is removed without leaving additional empty space where the text used to be. However, the space surrounding pericope headers remains. There is no way to remove this space.

Accordance allows it. And displays without gaps.

You could post a suggestion here. I'm unsure if you're only interested in removing the spaces surrounding pericope headers or rather all paragraph breaks. I imagine there may be interest in both options.
