Apply Existing Song Slide Format to New Song

I know I've done this before but I can't figure it out again. Twice now in the past 2 months we've introduced a new song to our church. The problem is when I add the song it uses the default Proclaim song slide template. My song format is almost the opposite of Proclaim default; I have white text on dark blue background. I've edited the default template some but can't get it to my standard "default" format. What I would really like to do is either apply my existing standard slide template to the new song being added for the first time, OR use an existing song slide in my format but add/include the new song lyrics (from SongSelect). How do I do this? This seems like a simple thing I ought to be able to do but can't for the life of me figure out how to do it (again).

It's actually pretty easy.

1. Go to a song that uses the correct formatting.
2. Right-click on it in the left column and choose "Set as Default Song."
3. When the "Set as Default Song" window comes up, click "Yes."

Now when you add a song to your service using Add Item > Song, it will be given your default format.

If you want to change a song already in your service to the default format.

1. Open the song in edit mode.
2. Click on Background > Browse Media.
3. Find the Smart Media with your default format (it will have the name "Default Song" and be in the Group Upload board and no other unless you put it into additional boards), select it, then under "Apply to Current" on the right, click "As Smart Media."

And you're done!
