Open resources selected in New Tab in another tab

Currently it appears that when I select a resource from the list in New Tab, that resource is opened in that tab. This necessitates creation of another New Tab should I want to open any other resource. It's particularly problematic when the New Tab contains resources relative to a particular passage. That's when I may want to open several of the resources and flip between them.
