What is ''Logos'' Notifications all about?

I download the update. Screen upper right contains: ''Logos Notifications. A lets may include alerts, sounds and icon badges.
I can allow or not.
What is in this lump of possibility? 'Sounds' sounds too loud.

Logos notifications would probably tell you that there are updates available, it’s indexing etc. I personally have Logos notifications turned off. I can see what is going on when I open the program. Programs that I allow messages from are things like the weather app. I want to know when severe weather alerts are issued, so, I allow notifications from the weather app. There are a few others. The rest, I just turn off.

Can any one help a scooter out?
When are these transmissions used? Are they advertisements?

I'm not sure what this refers to. Can you post a screenshot?

It sounds like Scooter is on a Mac.
If so, I think it is the notification that you get whenever you install or update an app. The message comes from MacOS and not the software itself. It is basically asking you if you want new or updated apps to be able to give you messages. It wouldn’t be advertising. If it does send too many notifications, you can turn them on/off in settings under notifications. Each app is listed and you can choose what apps to allow and which ones to deny. Below is a quick photo I found using a Google search as an example.

Thanks, Rick, for the photo [as I don't know how to put a photo in here].
This is exactly what I see; it has never appeared before on my Mac with all the Logos updates over the years.
