Copy/Paste - Lose paragraph break after header

Hi! Thanks for any help.

I'm using a custom copy and paste style.

Whenever I paste the verse into Microsoft Word, it puts a paragraph break after the header. How can I eliminate the paragraph break and only have a line break?
Currently, it looks like this:

2 Corinthians 4:2

Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways;

I'd like it to look like this after the paste:

2 Corinthians 4:2
Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways;
