In the Lexham English Bible at Revelation 13:8 is this text: “…everyone whose name is not written from the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who was slaughtered.”
Almost all English translations from the 20th century or later seem to agree that phrase “from the foundation of the world” modify “everyone whose name is not written” and not “the Lamb who was slaughtered. KJV, NIV, and Young’s Literal Translation disagree.
Since this overthrows the only verse (that I could find; Hebrews 9:26 doesn’t seem to qualify) stating that the Lamb was slain before the foundation of the world, it seems to require some explicit justification, beyond the text of Revelation 17:8. Is there a linguistic reason to give preference to this choice?
