Request additional search results sort order: By Book Ranked

I'd like to sort my search results by book, but ranked according to which book gets the most or best hits (as opposed to alphabetical, as it is now).

AND I like to be able to collapse the search results in sorting, so only the book names are visible.

This will make it easier to find which book is the most relevent to my search terms. The default Ranked sort is only by section/article, and it isn't terribly helpful when searching for monographs/chapter-oriented books, IMO.

(I know I can do a higher level search in the library window that ranks books, but I'd like book ranking in the full text search too).

I'd really like to understand the whole idea behind ranking as it now stands - II get some strange hits for different verses.

I agree (the second logically follows the first AND despite Bob's objections, we do like to see the books involved in results rather perform an endless scroll)!

That would go a long way to helping to manage zillions of hits like I'm getting on some searches. yes I should be more restrictive, but now that I can search my entire library in less than a second I can't help myself.

Bumping this suggestion again.. Lots of search results ..so what.. its what we can do with them that counts....
