Better way to ask this type of question of Logos/AI/"Smart"?

So I tried a Smart search in "All" :

What are some ways today’s first reading and gospel at Catholic daily Mass are related?

I really wanted to see some thoughts; but as I started to pursue this, I thought it would be a good AI test. Can it figure out what daily Mass was? Can it find the right readings? First readings and Gospels at a given daily Mass are together exactly because those who put the lectionary together saw a common theme(s). So I proceeded…

I got this as a reply, which totally misunderstood the question:

So my question is this - is this just a type of question that Logos can't answer right now, or is there a better way I can find a relevant answer?

The key point is that it is doing a search and then summarizing the first five results.

It would not know what todays readings are. However, you could ask your question including the specific Bible references, something like How are Exodus 19:1-2, 9-11, 16-20 and Matthew 13:10-17 related?

Interesting - your search seems much more on the right path. Yet even acknowledging they are both contained together in the Catholic Lectionary which it cites, it couldn't figure that part out - or maybe it was the "today" part it couldn't figure out? I guess that's the next level of sophistication…

UPDATE: I tried What are some ways the first reading and gospel from July 24 at Catholic daily Mass are related? as a smart Bible search, to see if could handle that and find the readings - after 3 minutes of being frozen, I thought it might just be the panel frozen so I went to change the screen to Light mode, and it said "No results". Going back to Dark mode kept that message.

So then I did the same question in "All", and it still was confused. It did better, answering about what it could find about how/why the first reading and Gospel are related. But it never referenced July 24 readings specifically.

That's because as I mentioned, it doesn't know what today's readings are. By searching for What are some ways the first reading and gospel from July 24 at Catholic daily Mass are related? you are essentially doing a search for books that match that text and then creating a summary from the top five results. Your top five results are unlikely to include hits that talk specifically about the relationship between those specific readings, because the only books that mention the July 24th part are going to be the lectionaries, which don't have an analysis of how the verses are related.

repeat replacing "first reading" with "responsorial psalm" and with "second reading"; it does a decent job given the data available to it.
