When I do a search and results are populated, is there a way to add a highlight to all the hits at one time
You can create a Visual Filter from a search as shown below
From here you can click the Formatting box which will result in a dropdown showing all your available highlight options (and you can give the Visual Filter a more recognisable name if required).
That should highlight those results - and you can delete the Visual Filter if you no longer need it.
If that doesn't work - or you need more details on any of this - please advise.
Hi @Graham Criddle, thanks for explaining this. :) I have only done one visual filter for an apparatus, so I am still pretty unfamiliar with it and this is helpful. If you don't mind, I actually have four questions. First, I have heard that visual filters can slow down the program and so if someone needs to speed things up, turning off visual filters can help. That said, is it really turning off ALL visual filters? Or is deselecting just the large one enough? Second, if a visual filter is sort of large, will it still slow down the program if the text where the filter is on is not open? For example, my filter is of the CNNTS and is always on. Is this slowing down the system if I don't have the CNNTS open? Or does it slow it down even if the CNTTS is not open? Third, I am having a lot of confusion how this works on mobile. Are visual filters able to be created on an iPad? And if not, is there a way to highlight all the hits of a word while working on the mobile version?
Fourth, something which just occurred to me, let's say I am in class and I want to review something later after class. So I click the 3 dots and create a visual filter which saves it. Then after class when I have time I can open my visual filter and review it, and then simply delete the filter when I am done. Is that realistic? I'm not actually sure of the current status of this - I knew there was some optimisation in this area sometime ago. I think, but am not sure, that the main impact (if any) will be when starting Logos as opposed to normal operation.
I'd be inclined to say that if you don't have performance issues I wouldn't worry about it!

Visual Filters are not supported on mobile so, no, this type of "search highlighting" is not available there
Are you talking about saving the results of a search or something else? If the results of a search, this is totally fine, if something else what sort of thing did you have in mind?

Hi @Graham Criddle, thanks for clarifying this, and you are correct that I thankfully don't have performance issues. :) Speaking of performance issues though, near the very end of this thread I started getting concerned about notes. Specifically, I have A LOT of anchors on notes. Is this ok? Logos just let's me keep adding them, so I think it is ok, I hope, but I am concerned about it causing note corruption. Likewise, if you don't mind, I also have a concern about pink notes. Somehow I am able to have a font color in notes which is not on the color palate. Is that ok? I am just jumpy about this because of the note corruption I experienced outside of Logos (which is why I am importing my notes to Logos), but apart from just being concerned, I for sure don't have performance issues.
Ok, thank you for clarifying this. I don't actually use mobile (I might open it to view it literally once a month, if that), but I think @Dick Roberts had this need if I am not mistaken. I had thought there had been and I just couldn't find it, so thank you for clarifying this.
Ya, I guess it would be the results of a search. For years I have taught a specific class where I use my translation, and sometimes in the class I notice things I want to address later. In Accordance I would just search the key of the word and keep that extra tab open and ignore it until I was done with class, but since I would also be searching the keys or lexes of other words during the class for other reasons, the system never worked well. Then last week in class it all just sort of came together how to do it in Logos. Specifically, I created a completely new notebook for "in class" issues and have that open. Then whenever something came to mind which I needed to address later, I could just jot a note in that specific notebook, and then after class review that notebook. I have only done this one time but it worked beautifully and I love it. So then just talking about visual filters now it just occurred to me that I could search for a lex or key and then temporarily highlight them with a filter in class, but it truly was just a thought and I don't think I would actually do it, as my class notebook has worked so well.

When attempting to add a book request post in the appropriate forum, I am getting a non-descript error message stating, "Error: post could not be created" and "Validation failed". Does anyone know the cause? It would definitely be helpful if the error message explained why the validation failed. ;)
