Logos Super Sale

I always appreciate a good sale. The Logos Super Sale offers 25% off many, if not most resources, but I now find myself struggling to feel 25% off resources in my wishlist is sufficient to tempt me - given the quantity and quality of resources I already own.

Yep … 30% is my mental number. 25%, if an add-on, needed, or unusual book usually not discounted. 10% means they're bottom feeding.

My sumarian writings book is just not in marketing's headlamps.

Considering I am seeing "30%" off - I don't recall the price on a few that I looked at being as high for me to complete a collection or add a book. Word Biblical is a major example for my personal dynamic price (Then again, I remember when it would go on sale for $400 - almost double now and I own 5 volumes)

A couple more of the few additions I'd consider seem higher than the last time I checked as well (but I haven't logged the prices to keep track).

The 30% off will include the subscriber discount.

I think I'm now at the stage where anything in my wishlist needs to be at least 50% off to tempt me, because while they may interest me they are lower priority than books I already own.

I suspect I'm done for 2025 … Hebrew Encyclopedia, some commentary volumes plus the creeds book. Maybe $600 or so. I used to spend that per quarter. Now, mainly Kindle religious.

Between the hard to use Logos.com, the subscribe-for nothing-needed, and the adverts, I'm packing up for the winter.

DMB—Is it possible to copy-paste from Kindle? I often see many good Kindle works but I have never been able to copy-paste in their format so I typically just pass.

I completely agree with your assessment of the newer Logos. I liked the older subscriptions, forums, birthday coupon (where you weren’t forced to spend at least $30–how on earth is that a gift😳?), etc. farrrr better.

I rarely even read on the forums anymore now for this very reason—when I used to read every night, for years.

@Puddin’ You can copy and paste, although there's a limit in each book - as I found out! Although I think I got round that by continuing to copy on another device and pasting into a cloud based document.

Thanks Paul. Perhaps i should try it on my laptop instead of my iPad. I just attempted it again recently from iPad & got nowhere.

@Puddin’ I've never tried on my laptop. Copy and paste works fine on my Android tablet and phone.

Ahhh, probably an operator malfunction on my end in that case then Paul🥴. Will play around in the Kindle app. again & see if I can see what I’m doing wrong.

My Scribe only 'shares' to Goodreads. Kindle on my iPhone copies to other apps like email and notes (and Logos).
