I find it odd that no one seems to have got behind this free pre-pub. Even if you don't agree with the theology, why wouldn't you want a free book in your library for reference at the very least.

well, maybe the formula to calculate the bar doesn't work for free books (adding up zero dollars per every Pre-Pub subscriber won't take a big chunk out of the estimated production cost, even if they are small)?
At least I can confirm that at mimimum one user (who likes free books even if they don't agree theologywise) is in on this for quite some time:
However I do think that quite a number of people signed up for this, and the curious fact that some of these booklets have not been produced over the years has been a discussion in the forums on multiple occasions.
I have 3 others in the series in pre-pub showing as "in production" (albeit for 6 years now). This is the only one showing"gathering interest ", which is surprising given you'd expect the same people to be interested in all four volumes.
I would chalk that up more to the status not being accurate rather than more people being interested in the other 3 but not this one. I doubt these free pre-pubs get a whole lot of attention and updating.
Though it is curious what the hold up is… if they have the files it would seem it would be a pretty quick process to convert it, since there wouldn't need to be much tagging.
Part of my motivation in highlighting, is in case it needs a push.
That's a good motivation. I placed my order.
Apparently I preordered this in 2019. Small wonder I don't remember!
I preordered this in '23.
