I received the following email from a Logos employee, Ben Parks. Unfortunately he hasn't responded to my inquiry x2, so I thought I'd post here and see if anyone has an answer:
"For a limited time we are releasing a special way for you to own the newest version of Logos, both features and resources! This offers you the best of both worlds: ownership of features and software, with the added benefit of our new AI and Cloud-based features for free, for two years. All the new books and features from the package of your choice will be unlocked in your library and you will own all the newest features for the next two years!"
Since I own Logos already, and don't want any AI features, what advantage is being offered here? I can buy individual resources as I need them, and I don't want any of the new features (e.g., AI). Does this imply I don't already own something in my version of Logos, or something will be taken away?
Also, when I think of ownership, I don't think of it being time-bound ("own … for the next two years"). That's a long-term rental.
